This site is a collection of thoughts and ideas that will accompany my journey as I undertake a Doctorate looking at AI and the future of work impact. It will be random and it will reflect thoughts of the day, streams of consciousness and pose both serious and sometimes whimsical questions.
It will not be technical. There will be no code chat. There will be no deep dives into clusters, neural networks and flops and bytes. It is meant to be read by everyday people like you and me, with me assuming you reading this right now are like me. Or perhaps you are assuming you are like me?
Either way. Let’s have some fun exploring.
The pace of technology change, especially in AI, is incredible and scary. There’s a danger the benefits will be skewed to a wealthy and powerful few. You could argue this is already the case. And you would be right. I think we can do better. I hope to make that case here amongst some of the more frequent thinking about AI and tech in general.
When I look back in 5 years time I am sure some of this will appear rather cute. And this is okay.
